Love, however, many things. It will be tremendously touching and indescribably beautiful on

It is something of a world that Mark Kozelek move around in. He is the man behind Sun Kil Moon - probably named after an Asian boxer - and former frontman of the defunct sadcore group Red House Painters, who roamed in the 90s. He has released a plethora of solo albums, mostly live material, while he runs the record label Caldo Verde. And then he writes some truly amazing songs that takes the form of wordy, detailed and gripping stories.
Mark Kozeleks latest album Benji land after the two co-plates perils From the Sea and Mark Kozelek & Desert Shore, both of which came out last year. Disguised as Sun Kil Moon's Kozelek not alone, rock and roll hall of fame 2011 even if it sometimes sounds like, as it is often just an acoustic guitar, which helps drive the songs forward. And then of course Kozeleks distinctive voice that beautifully plagues songs with a specious loneliness and melancholy, which moves between a world-weary attitude and a desire to keep the world alive through stories. A feeling that he continually finds out what he wants to sing and especially rock and roll hall of fame 2011 how materialize again and again. It is impressive.
One of my friends have complained that Kozelek has been less poetic rock and roll hall of fame 2011 and less focused on songs, but he also followed the bitter singer / songwriter for a longer time than I do. To my ears are Kozelek bit of a revelation that really breaks some boundaries - his poetic and melodic qualities have taken on a new form. His dense narratives through a diary-like character, but at the same time characterized by a remarkable association ability that jumps in time and place and especially between states of mind. Everyday life may not be great in itself, but it changes when Kozelek tells about it. Filled with everyday life.
But what is life at all? Benji moves far away, comes close to and demonstrate that all life is also filled with death. In a way it's like witnessing another season with Detective Inspector Barnaby, as one wonders rock and roll hall of fame 2011 that still goes live people around. The grim "Richard Ramirez Died Today of Natural Causes" if the title is reminiscent of a news headline, is about an American serial killer rock and roll hall of fame 2011 who died last year. The text is mixed story of Richard Ramirez with friends, known and acquaintances death, while you can feel the fear, not least caused by the media. While everyday life goes on as usual.
And also on "Pray for Newtown" in which the tragedy at Utøya mentioned rock and roll hall of fame 2011 among many other massacres - not least in Newtown. But Kozelek rock and roll hall of fame 2011 do not pray to God, instead he plays and speaks to human beings: "When you're gonna get married and you're out shopping around / Take a moment two think about the family's att lost so much in Newtown. 'We tend to forget, which is both good and bad.
The song "Jim Wise" begins cozy, and the music reminiscent of one of those tunes that play while you're waiting to get through to an insurance company. Suddenly, and in the same pleasant tone, it is nonetheless apparent that Kozeleks father's friend Jim Wise under house arrest for the murder of his wife. A mercy killing in the hospital, "Jim Wise killed his wife out of love for this," followed by a failed suicide. We judge Jim Wise, and he will live with his wife's death. What if he had managed to shoot himself?
Amidst all these tragedies we remember also about what it is that keeps us alive. There is forgiveness, regret and gratitude for "I Love My Dad" and especially "I Watched the movie the Song Remains the Same", where Kozelek able to maintain concentration throughout the track all 10 minutes. Guitar Toner waves back and forth, and the stories evoke images quickly form up and slowly fades away. Just as the landscape glide by while the train is moving forward, as the album's cover also suggests.
The line between sex and love are twisted and turned on the stomping "Dogs", where a host of women's names mixed with sexual experiences and closes with the aptly conclusion 'and nobody's right and nobody's wrong / Our early life shapes the types two Whom we are drawn / It's a complicated place, this planet we're on. "There are limits, yes, but as such there is no justice when it comes to love and sex. A loving reminder that we are not entirely self-manage the emotions that are in play, however much we would like in these times of målrationalitet and dating apps. Or do we just do not know what it is, we will - for fear of finding out.
Love, however, many things. It will be tremendously touching and indescribably beautiful on "I Can not Live Without My Mothers Love". There are so many things we can live without, but unfortunately we can not always choose. Some things come closer and closer to where we like than then it stopped, however much we v
