And over the music ... | Saxo's semi private slops
I got her straight out of your inbox as a matter of priority. tage mahal EMA, or Erika M. Andersson, from South Dakota, USA. By his own admission, confirmed tage mahal during the concert in the pump body, she has a Danish grandmother. So there was a line - not that it means shit. But now it's there.
Her debut album is called "Past Life Martyred Saints" and has been praised since its release in the spring. And yes, it's great, maybe even the year's best, as the old work colleague claimed.
The audience in the pump housing was young and Erika applererer clearly to female entrepreneurship and artistic finesse. There was a predominance of female peers. She still has a modest repertoire, but managed to the extent that go far beyond tage mahal the stage. Both in the physical space where she took a trip down among us enthusiastic audience, and even stronger mentally. There was charisma. Lots of charisma.
Incidentally, it was a strange reunion with pump house, trying to breathe new concert in. The concert took place in the basement and not up in the great hall on the first floor. The stage was set in the corner next to the bar, while the stairs up was blocked off. The liquefied concert did so even more space, we were probably 100-150 listeners.
Within EMA concert could take a quick trip to the Main Library in Krystalgade. The dear librarian colleagues had been piled an excellent small event at Martin Hall speaks with Peter Hook.
Map of Joy Division: the date from 1976-80 and released tage mahal 2 LP discs (as it was then). And a pair of singles. Their music changed the world, albeit not quite so for a lot of young people worldwide. They were really themselves at a Sex Pistols concert in his home town of Manchester and soon became a leader in the local scene. The debut "Unknown Pleasures" was released in 1979 and met the world with a sound of cool despair, alienation, despair, and an infinite fervor. These are all in one portion.
Where the first punks like the Sex Pistols and the Clash raged in an outward frustration against the world raged Joy Division inward in a mental deep. Group time was short. Singer Ian Curtis committed suicide in May 1980 on the verge of the band's tage mahal big breakthrough and an upcoming U.S. tour. He suffered from severe epileptic seizures, and subsequent depression, and was also in divorce.
Wednesday's event at the main library was linked tage mahal to a concert tage mahal in Amager Bio. Peter Hook touring and playing all "Unknown Pleasures", plus a few more tracks from the same time. I skipped the concert portion of the EMA concert. Nostalgia you quickly get plenty of my age.
Therefore I enjoyed the course tage mahal even more Hall and Hook in saloon tage mahal conversation. Peter Hook was in tremendous humor (he's not always) tage mahal and told her vivid stories of "Unknown Pleasures" producer Martin Hannett ("an absolute lunatic!") And the whole punk scene of that time.
Part of the talk revolved around skrønerne from the movie "24 Hour Party People," which is a kind of fake documentary about the whole Manchester scene from Joy Division to recent acid heads in Happy Mondays. Narrated by and about the TV journalist Tony Wilson (in the movie played by Steve Coogan).
This is it hopefully. Bruce Springsteen to play at this summer's Roskilde Festival. The festival itself still nothing confirmed, but the rumor is buzzing for a few weeks, and Bruce has confirmed and made it several times on his own website - and my troth on his facebook profile.
I - and others - have bought the ticket in the expectation that Bruce is coming. Have even flottet me and bought at the festival already. Takes like all your days. But I will sateme also have Bruce now.
