The award must be "assigned exceptional musicians 2011 people s choice awards and artists" and the requirement is that one should have the disc debuted at least 20 years ago. The jury consisted of music journalists Jan Gradvall, Amethyst Azordegan, Per Sinding-Larsen and Kersti Adams-Ray and the twelve artists who eventually was elected were:
